the first song we played was Rejoice the season and I feel like we did a decent job for it being our first time playing it. I thought that the main problem I had was going from 44 time to 34 time and honestly I felt like I did ten times better with the 34 time because I was able to get a hold of the counting. But bottom line I think this song is gonna be my favorite. there were definitely some problem areas and I can't wait to get a chance to learn and play it accurately. Daniels city looks really pretty and I like our part, I think that the switching of 44 to 24 of and on is gonna need to be worked a ton. I hope that it will go faster then it was when we practiced it. the recording sounded really pretty and I hope that we can make it sound as good as it can. Christmas Eve looks really cool, it's basically Carol of the bells but it's stronger and louder. It's really long and I'm excited about that because that means that we are gonna work it more. I love Carol of the bells so I can't wait to get started. then the last one is "How the Grinch stole christmas". just looking at it, it doesn't seem like it's gonna be fun for the trombones in general. we have the base line and that's normally pretty boring. we move a bit more in the last section, and may even have the melody. I love the movie but... I don't know we will see if I like it or not.
